Georgia in 5 days: city, wine and mountains

Five days are enough for Georgia’s strongest first-timer loop: Tbilisi, Kakheti wine country and the Kazbegi mountains without overnight driving.

Base route

Days 1-2: Tbilisi and Mtskheta. Day 3: Kakheti via Bodbe, Sighnaghi or wineries. Day 4: drive to Kazbegi. Day 5: return via Ananuri and Zhinvali.

Trip pace

Avoid changing hotels every night. Two nights in Tbilisi, one in Kakheti and one in Stepantsminda keep the trip comfortable.

Weather buffer
